Work and Mental HealtH
I was invited to speak to a group of Nelson mental health professionals about how we maintained a healthy workplace.
The topic was well outside my comfort zone, as I’m not a frontline guy with an ear to everyone’s problems, but I am the boss, so I get to set the hopes and expectations we hold for everyone’s welfare.
The discussion afterwards proved really valuable, and an edited version was aired on Fresh FM.
You can listen to it HERE.

Once I owned a yacht and a restaurant. The restaurant folded and I thought I’d start a charter business. Having been a bit burned on the restaurant I undertook some uncharacteristically serious research into the boat charter business and unearthed dozens of vessels that were available for hire that no one knew about. These boats…Read More
I was in a friend’s shower picking through bottles of stuff in search of shampoo. I could see a lot better back then and grabbed a green bottle labelled shampoo. It smelled really minty – almost like mint sauce, and did the trick nicely. Mint flavoured shampoo was new to me, so I took a…Read More
